Using the guide. You can browse and search without a visitor account. Your favourites and preferences are saved on your device. If you allow Nearby to access your location, the app uses it on your device to calculate distances to airports. You can change this permission in your device settings.
Submitting an update. When you send a report, we receive the airport and location details, your description, a submission reference and the time. If you attach a photo, the app converts it to a new image before upload to remove embedded metadata. Reports and photos are available to the review team. If a report leads to a correction, we may publish the factual airport information. Please leave out names, faces, boarding passes and other personal information.
Rating a location. The app saves a randomly generated code on your device. When you vote, we store a hash of the code, the location, your rating and timestamps so you can change or remove your vote on the same device. The guide shows aggregate ratings. Clearing app data may remove your ability to manage an earlier vote.
Contact and service providers. If you email us, we use your address and message to respond. Supabase provides the database and private photo storage. Wikimedia serves airport photos, and your device sends the connection information required to load them. When you open an external source link, the destination handles that visit under its own privacy policy.
Purpose and retention. We use this information to run and protect the guide, check reports, keep published information accurate, count votes and respond to support requests. The app uses Nearby only with your device permission. For the guide, moderation and support we rely on our legitimate interests in operating the service. We keep reports, photos and support messages for as long as needed to investigate and resolve the request, maintain necessary moderation records, or meet legal obligations. Ratings are kept while needed to provide the rating feature and keep it reliable.
Your choices and rights. You can remove favourites in the app and change or remove a rating from the device you used. Email info@eamdesign.nl to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, or to object to processing. Tell us which information your request concerns and include only what we need to locate it. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
